Prof. Jensen's research is focused on the challenges in estimation and control associated with communication, sensing, and computation challenges in large-scale or infinite dimensional distributed systems. Specifically, she analyzes optimal control and fundamental system behaviors/limitations to improve methods in system and control design in the face of these challenges. Applications of interest include wide-area control of power networks, multi-agent systems, and soft-robotics.
