research overview

  • I research and write at the intersection of constitutional law and immigration law, with three specific scholarly foci. First, I research and publish on the constitutional rights of noncitizens, with a focus on the Second Amendment rights of noncitizens. Second, I research and publish on the constitutionality of state and local immigration regulation, described in academic discourse as 'immigration federalism.' Finally, I write about the Constitution as its been interpreted at the 'border' of the United States.
