Dr. Strong’s research focuses on the intersection of education policy, equity, and accountability for historically marginalized populations. She applies critical quantitative and qualitative methodologies to examine systemic issues across K–12 education and public programming through research and evaluations for school districts, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies. Her scholarship has informed high-impact initiatives including federal consent decree oversight, and she has contributed to multiple grant-funded projects in collaboration with advocacy organizations, government entities, and academic institutions.
