Prof. Schwartz’s research involves the development and use of novel surface modification and surface characterization methods to study molecular behavior at interfaces. Applications of this research are in the areas of biomaterials, molecular self-assembly, chemical and biosensing, catalysis, nanomaterials, bimolecular separations, and therapeutic protein stability.
