Most of my recent research activity has focused on Margaret Mead, the early history of American anthropology, and the controversy over Mead's research in American Samoa in the 1920s. Since the publication of my book, The Trashing of Margaret Mead: Anatomy of an Anthropological Controversy, I have been working on other projects involving Mead.
